Behind the landscape of the postcard, French Polynesia locks up much less attractive secrets. Taboos... Tabu, in Reo Tahiti means the forbidden and the secret concerning the sacred.
Modern French Polynesia is both rich in culture and contemporary issues. Only, the Tabu are accepted and preserve for some the belief of a paradise on earth.
The beauty of the lagoons and tropical leaves sometimes takes over the locals. The islanders are then forgotten. However, if you offer them an attentive ear, they will tell you incredibly touching and instructive stories.
THERAPIST BEFORE BEING AN ARTIST
A chance for me to be a therapist... Listening and speaking are my daily life. Today, I transcribe the energies of the people I meet. The exhibitions are an opportunity to discover the messages hidden behind the paintings and address themes specific to modern Polynesian society. The viewer is then invited to imagine the life story of each portrait.
